OUR HISTORY

Still Lumber Company was founded in 1946 by the late L.B. Still, his brother R.H. Still, and friend J.T. Hicks. The company was located for many years on Commercial Street in Olde Town Conyers, and was known as a gathering place not only for customers but also locals who wanted to stop in for a chat. Still Lumber specializes in a quality commercial and residential building material. Still Lumber serves contractor, builder, remodeler, or homeowner, DIY, or Industrial purchasing agent. The company moved to its current location in 2005.

Still Lumber serves all of Metro Atlanta including Conyers, Covington, Monroe, Norcross, Stockbridge, McDonough, Decatur, Atlanta, Lithonia, Snellville, Loganville and elsewhere.

In August, 2022, Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. purchased Still Lumber. Spahn & Rose has 25 locations throughout, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Georgia and Alabama. Founded in 1904, Spahn & Rose is a leading lumber distributor in the Midwest and has been named one of the top 100 lumber and building-materials distributors in the country by ProSales, a newsletter that reports on contractor and construction-industry trends.

The acquisition of Still Lumber will mark the fourth major addition for Spahn & Rose in four years. In July 2021, Spahn & Rose acquired Metro Building Products in Marietta, GA, February 2019 the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin–based Dunn Lumber, and in February 2020, it acquired Reinbeck, Iowa–based Moeller & Walter Lumber.
